FREE Pre-Med Events This Week (4/26-5/2)

Hello future doctors from all around the world! The upcoming week is very diverse with respect to the FREE events taking place. You can attend a pre-health virtual career fair or take a preview MCAT class on Tuesday, talk to a professional pre-med adviser on Wednesday, or attend a medical professions panel on Thursday! Tue, 4/28, 7:00-9:00 pm - Indian Health Service Virtual Career Fair
This event organized by the Division of Health Professions Support will let students interested in health profession careers ask questions about working in American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Topics include IHS health profession disciplines and the Loan Repayment and Scholarship programs. Register now  to chat with IHS recruiters!

Tue, 4/28, 8:00-10:00 pm - Inside The Classroom: MCAT
Preview a Kaplan MCAT Class for FREE. Attend this class and learn valuable strategies and methods to raise your MCAT score. An expert MCAT teacher will provide information on the structure and scoring of the exam, strategies you can use on tough question types, and an overview of Kaplan's MCAT course and materials. Register online in advance.

Have questions for the premed advisers? Chat with OCS (Office of Career Services at Harvard University) premed advisers during premed chat hours! Type harvardocs[at]gmail.com into your Google Chat search field (“Search people...”) and click “Invite to chat.”

Thu, 4/30, 8:00-9:30 pm - Medical Professions Panel Discussion
This 1.5 hour session will provide students with an overview of strategies for the new section of the MCAT.  Bryan Schnedeker Next Step's National MCAT Director will discuss strategies and walk through multiple practice problems to show students how to apply them.
As a bonus for students who attend this event, Next Step will be giving away two sets of their best-selling MCAT books and two sets of their online MCAT Practice Test Bundles. Register in advance and as the event approaches, you will receive a link for access.
